Architectural Wall Finishes
About
Since 1994, i-FAUX LLC has specialized in decorative wall finishes for architects, interior designers and homeowners in New York City and the Metropolitan area. We create and install innovative wall surfaces using natural lime, cement, glazes and gold-leaf based on client’s ideas and directions or offering finishes developed by our international crew.
All of our materials are eco-friendly and of the highest quality. We are attentive to details and committed to the creative process from the initial consultation to the final walkthrough.
Our company's work can be found on both coasts of the United States and in major European cities, including Moscow, Paris, Berlin, Budapest and Prague and continues to grace new locations. We work in private residential spaces as well as public commercial and hospitality projects, including hotels, retail shops and more.
Andrei Kievsky, owner and art director of i-FAUX, finds his inspirations in Old World interiors and modern architecture. Well-traveled as a cultural attaché for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a reporter for the Russian Press Agency "Novosty", he decided to start a new career in the decorative painting industry in 1994.
Andrei studied faux finishes and art of Venetian plaster at the Isabel O'Neil Studio and “The Finishing School". Soon his projects began to appear in The New York Times, The Record, 201 Magazine and international publications.
"Artists working with us love to experiment and come up with unique textures that look fabulous and are wisely priced," he says. "We can make our faux finishes very wearable and easy to clean for commercial projects, create the most sophisticated combinations of colors or offer savvy techniques to fit a tight budget".
